Dahlia Day Trip Jigging
Boat Description
It will take an hour journey to the super fishing spots, around 30 to 50 nautical miles from Jetty Tok Kuning depending on the weather. Fishing spots covered include Tuas Segantang, Unjam Langkawi, Unjam Pekmai, Unjam 145.
Target fish : Spanish mackerel (tenggiri), giant trevally (jemuduk), queenfish (talang), golden snapper (jenahak), grouper (kerapu), longfin trevally (rambai), diamond trevally (ebek) & dorado (durado).
Recommended tackle:
– Rod : PE 1 to 3
– Reel : 4000 with a ratio of 5:2:1 and above
– Line : Braided 30/40lb
– Assist hook : steel wire wrapped in kevlar is a MUST.
Mono fishing line is not allowed to be used on this boat. The reason given by the captain is that it’s not good for jigging as it reduces the chance to land the big ones and it takes longer time to reel in the big ones such as the GTs.
It is advised to bring along chub mackerel (ikan temenum) as back up bait in the event of bad weather requiring the need to take shelter on Langkawi island.
Amenities included : life jackets (11 pieces), lifebuoy (3 units), Lowrance GPS dan fish finder, Garmin echo map GPS sonar, CB radio communication, toilet, simple cooking utensils, safety fencing, fire extinguisher, first aid. Two units of 200 litre cooler box with ice cubes is included.
Mineral water and simple lunch will be included in this trip
Accompanied by the Captain and one crew.
Boat leaves from Jetty Tok Kuning, Kuala Perlis.
What’s not include : Life bait. Live squid bait can be bought at Langkawi Island with additional charges.
ii. Cancellations made within 45 days of the trip will not be allowed for a refund of the deposit.
iii. Changes made within 45 days of the trip may be subject to availability and any rate differences.
iv. No-shows on the day of the trip will not be eligible for a refund.
v. Bad weather cancellation allows for a refund. An admin fee of RM 100 will be applied. Anglers have the option to reschedule subject to availability and any rate differences.
